Add a little bit of chicness to your decor with this DIY French sign with fancy violets, that will instantly beautify and bring a fresh feel to any home
I know we feel spring is here when our calendars hit the 1st of March (even though the official date for its beginning is the Spring Equinox), but this year, in my part of the world, the weather outside kind of contradict the whole spring idea we have in mind for the beginning of this month. For now we are all covered in snow and the temperatures are way too low to even dare to think about spring. We stay inside and try to balance things with maybe an Earl Grey Tea Latte or a Turmeric Latte but we are so over winter… We definitely need some spring!!! :)
So let’s just say today we are persuading spring with a chic project that you can make for your home – a DIY French sign with fancy violets! :)
I created this French postcard design a while ago with beautiful graphics from The Graphics Fairy (as always) ♥ and is definitely one of my all time favorites!
And I have a pretty good feeling you will love it too! :)
Today’s DIY French sign with fancy violets project is quite an easy one and it can also be a quick one! Especially if you already know how to create a Shabby painted and distressed look and you already know all about waterslide decal paper transfers. But then again you are here, on my blog … of course you do! :)
NOTE:
The candle holders from the images (are from Ikea and) are beautified using the same painting and distressing technique!
I’m keeping things short today, because I’m sharing the details on how to create this project on The Graphics Fairy ♥
I’m going into details on how to handle and what to consider when working with a larger piece of decal paper and of course, I’m sharing the beautiful French Postcard with fancy violets over there too!

Let’s just hope spring will appreciate all this effort and will come with warm temperatures and a little bit of sunshine … ASAP! :)
Don’t forget to smile,
