Learn how to make DIY 3D Butterfly Bookmarks in just a few easy steps! Use coffee to stain the bookmarks and give them a beautiful and subtle vintage look!
Hello, friends! I know everyone is already thinking fall decorating, but I still can’t trick my mind into accepting that fall is here to stay. The weather has been quite moody and rainy for the last few days, but I’m still trying to convince myself that this is just a small phase. I’m really hoping for a few more warm and sunny days that could be spent and enjoyed outside, we’ll just have to wait and see what mother nature has planned for us next.

To keep that summery vibe locked into our hearts, today I’m showing you how to make some super chic DIY 3D Butterfly Bookmarks! I had this project in mind for quite some time and I have to tell you that it really exceeded my expectations. And I usually have quite high expectations! :)
DIY 3D Butterfly Bookmarks
I had so much fun creating the design for these beautiful bookmarks and even though they took some time to make, I’m more than happy with the final result. They incorporate a few of my favorite things – super playful and delicate butterflies, in two different colors, French elements that give the bookmarks a stylish and elegant look, a beautiful vintage frame and some simply stunning botanicals! I wanted to give my bookmarks a more classical and universal theme, if you wish, so you can enjoy them all year long! I love seasonal projects and this project here could definitely could be categorized s as a seasonal one, but I think it could also be considered more of a universal project, one that can be easily turned into a special handmade gift throughout the year! I decided to use two botanicals with roses (there’s nothing more classical than roses, right?), a rosehip bloom botanical and an almond bloom botanical. As always, all the amazing elements used to create the design are from The Graphics Fairy! ♥
This project is definitely one of my all time favorites, so I’m hoping you’ll give it a try! And maybe it will become your favorite, too! :)
You can have a lot of fun while making the DIY 3D Butterfly Bookmarks but I’m pretty sure they will bring even more joy afterwards. So this one is for all of you, book aficionados out there! ♥ What a great companion for all your next reading adventures, right? :)

I usually want my projects to be quite straightforward and easy to make, but I also want to give YOU the opportunity of adding your personal touches to the whole process. This time it was the bookmark’s background – I decided to leave it white so it can be treated like a blank canvas! You’ll be able to play with your favorite colors or mediums, everything goes here … as long you are having fun! :) I used coffee to stain my bookmarks, but you can also use tea, watercolors, acrylics, colored pencils, metallic markers … really anything that your heart desire! :)
