Ever since I have discovered the benefits of essential oils, they’ve become an important part of our lives. They can be used in so many ways, for a breath of healthiness just add a few drops of this magical elixir in natural homemade products, in natural beauty products (massage oils, scrubs, soaps, body lotions), even on fresh bed linen and many others, the possibilities are endless.
I sometimes add a few drops of lavender essential oils on dried lavender flowers I keep in the living room in a beautiful enamel vase and in a few seconds the house smells just amazingly fresh!
These powerful natural drops have true health benefits. They will instantly give you such a good energy, not to mention that they will considerably improve your life if used regularly.
So today we’ll make together a small step towards a healthier life with an essential oils reed diffuser to which you can easily add some French script angel wings. A match made in Heaven, if you ask me! :)

So today we’ll make together a small step towards a healthier life with an essential oils reed diffuser to which you can easily add some French script angel wings. A match made in Heaven, if you ask me! :)
You will need (*affiliate links):
– apothecary bottles* with narrow opening
– 10-12 drops of essential oils
– 50 ml sweet almond oil or other carrier oil*
(also known as base oil or vegetable oil, it is used to dilute essential oils)
– rattan reeds* or bamboo skewers
– 1-2 teaspoons rubbing alcohol* or vodka (optional, if your carrier oil is too thick)
– French script paper angel wings // scissors // ribbon // paint (optional, to distress the paper’s edges)
Pour the sweet almond oil into the bottle and add the alcohol, if needed.
Add the essential oils drops. I had on hand lavender essential oils that I used in one bottle and grapefruit essential oils that I used in the other. When it comes to essential oils, there are plenty of brands to choose from, but the essential oils from Young Living * are definitely my old time favorites.
I made the angel wings printable with a French script from The Graphics Fairy, if you like them you can download them {HERE}. There are six angel wings on one page that can be used as many times as you wish. Please use them though for personal projects only.
Check to see if they match your bottle size.
And distress the edges a little bit if you want to add a little extra charm – learn how to distress paper with acrylic paint and even waterproof them HERE. I used a super secret formula to get the color I used to distress my angel wings and even paint the wood boards that you can see in these pictures, I’ll share the secret with you soon :)
I learned from Practically Functional and Shabby Art Boutique lots of useful tips for this tutorial. It seems that rattan reeds are best for diffusing essential oils, but bamboo skewers work as well, as long as they have large holes at the ends, allowing the oils to travel upwards.
Attach the French script angel wings to your bottle/bottles using some ribbon, add the reeds and place your diffuser anywhere you want in your home.
You can even use some white baking paper and some ribbon and make small caps for your essential oils bottles and also use them for display :)
That’s it! Your new best friend in aromatherapy, all healthy but also oh so chic! :)
What about you, do you love using and integrating essential oils into your everyday life?
Don’t forget to smile! / Nu uitati sa zambiti ♥

Buna!

Toate cele bune!
