Make a lovely set of French ephemera labels that you can use on just about everything.
Go to the Graphics Fairy, download some beautiful French images and arrange them on a page in Photoshop or in a Word document.
I used the following graphics:
Fleura M-me Boileve / Cremones de Fenetre / Au Vieil Acacia / Fabrique de Serrurerie / Ville de Paris

but you can also choose your favorites from this amazing collection of French graphics.

You can print them on regular paper or cardstock paper and use them to decorate beautiful French objects all around your home.
If you want to learn how to easily distress and even waterproof them, check out this article.
UPDATE:
I’m starting a new and exciting collaboration with Karen / The Graphics Fairy and I’m gradually making my collages and printables available for FREE download on her website.

Hello Diana, thanks for sharing all these lovely labels & tips. I made one of your bottles, without that 'special transfer paper' you described. I was so tired of purchasing YET another item to create with & wanted to make the project work with things on hand. I painted my bottle white like you did & then my transfer paper was an old piece of tissue paper that was white as well. It worked like a dream following all your other instructions with the gesso, black paint, & candle wax. I only painted one bottle, now I wish I had painted 20. Now I have to go through the painting process again! BOO
