Hello creative friends! It seems like the weather is starting to get crispier, we can definitely feel a preview of the upcoming season, mostly overnight, but also in the morning. Before we know it, fall will be upon us, so to properly celebrate this season I thought it would be fun to make some absolutely gorgeous DIY Vintage Fall Coasters! We will be using ceramic tiles to make these beauties and depending on the tiles that you will be using, you will get a more or less vintagey effect. My tiles were pretty grungy and distressed, but that’s a good thing in my book, so nothing to complain about there. 
The somehow surprising element of these coasters is tissue paper! Surprising in the most amazing kind of way, especially since it was the first time for me when I was able to actually print my own design on tissue paper! I’ve had my share of failed attempts, so you can only imagine my excitement when I finally succeeded! ;) Have you ever tried printing on tissue paper before? It’s really a rewarding process once you get the hang of it and the final results definitely have that WOW factor that always takes you by surprise! It’s like a tissue paper image transfer, the paper almost fuses with the decorated surface creating an amazingly decorated finish.
I’m planning on writing more on my new experience with printing on tissue paper while using a laserjet printer, I might even make a special blog post just for this subject. It’s that amazing!
DIY Vintage Fall Coasters
The printables that I created for this project are made with vintage images from The Graphics Fairy, all with that lovely and cozy fall vibe. You already know how much I love The Graphics Fairy, right? :) But what really surprises me is how we are able to discover more and more new images, but sometimes even rediscover the same images, depending on our mood or a specific project that we have in mind! I would say that the mood definitely has a higher percentage because we can look at old images in a different way or we instantly get a new inspiring idea for a new project.
The process itself of creating the DIY Vintage Fall Coasters is really easy, you will just love the sheerness tissue paper bring to the table – and I mean that both literally and figuratively! :)

I’ve also included a few fall quotes in the design of the tiles, just like small reminders to awaken our senses and ground us in the present moment while enjoying our morning coffee. Or maybe while completely switching to large pumpkin lattes to properly celebrate this beautiful season! :)
The coasters are definitely chic enough to also be used as lovely decorative pieces all around your home, not to mention they can be easily turned into unique handmade gifts for someone you love!
