Learn how to easily make these DIY Vintage Chic Christmas Banners and use them to decorate for the holidays! The banners come in several different sizes, so you’ll be able to use the larger ones to decorate your home and the smaller ones to embellish Christmas gifts, tags or junk journals.
Hello, creative friends! The ‘I’m so in love with staining paper with coffee‘ vintage saga continues! :) Today I will be showing you how to make these easy, but super chic vintage banners for Christmas, that will be perfect for all kinds of decorative purposes.
I may have gone a little overboard while designing these printables for you, but you know how I love to give you several options when it comes to getting creative with my projects. So maybe that’s not such a bad thing after all! :)
I designed 5 sheets with several, different-sized banners saying ‘Merry Christmas’, ‘Believe’ and ‘Joyeux Noel’. This way you’ll have many more options to choose from and you’ll be able to just adapt everything to your needs!

I will show you how to:
– distress (again) with coffee using ‘layers’ to create interesting effects and add more depth
– cut the banners
– punch the holes
– arrange the triangles on the string
I will also share a few tricks for staying somehow organized while making the banners, all these different sized triangles could create a potential mess if not properly ‘tamed’! You can call me the wild triangle tamer! :)
cardstock paper | laserjet printer |
scissors |coffee (I’m using Nescafe Dolce Gusto capsules) | brush
one-hole punch | gold metallic string
craft mat (for protecting the surface)
I love the idea of including all-year decorative items like angel statues, candles, wood boards (simple or French) or DIY coffee stained books while decorating and creating vignettes in different areas in our home. Of course, other Christmasy or wintery items like Christmas tree branches, leaves, small ornaments, cinnamon sticks, even gingerbread cookies or Christmas candles can be included at this point, they would really bring that special holiday vibe into our homes.
