Learn how to make these DIY Round Junk Journal Blue Flower Tags with a French twist and a touch of gold in just a few minutes using a handful of supplies. The round tags can be used to decorate your junk journals, but there are quite a few other ways of including them in all sorts of creative projects!
Hello creative friends! Long time no see here on the blog, so I’m hoping you are well and are enjoying these last glimpses of summer somewhere on a beach! Maybe with a peach margarita in your hand? I just took a short break to recharge my batteries, but now I’m back with a gorgeous DIY project that I’m sure you’ll love as much as I do! It’s a sweet little project that can be ready in just a few minutes but will give some amazing results!
You can use any type of ribbon that you have around to decorate these lovely round overlapped tags, even some lace would look amazing with these beauties! Not sure about you, but where I live (Romania, Europe) I don’t usually find all the craft supplies I would love to find, so I just have to wing it and adapt to what I can actually get my hands on. Or what I can create myself. Maybe you’ve been in this situation yourself, but can you imagine what would you do if you couldn’t find all the craft supplies that you love? I don’t know, I guess that’s just something to think about …
Well, crinkle ribbon was one of those hard-to-find items for me, I just couldn’t find it anywhere! I found online that you can actually use Rayon seam binding to create your own but guess what? I couldn’t find seam binding either! :)
So you can only imagine my excitement when I stumbled upon an online craft store that actually carried crinkle ribbons! I bought the white one because I thought I could just stain it as I want and I actually used coffee to do that. I managed to give it a lovely antiqued look! The ribbon that I found is from a company called Old fashion Ribbon, they have an amazing array of vintage ribbons, in all sorts of gorgeous colors. This company is also from Europe, not sure if you can find it where you live, but I just wanted to give them a shout because I just love this ribbon! If you check their page here, you will find some online places that sell their products, so maybe you’re in luck and you can match things with your location!

These vintage round tags with a French twist and a touch of gold can be used to decorate your junk journal in a super chic and stylish way, but I’m sure you’ll find other creative ways of using them!
And speaking of gold touches … enter the Decocolor gold marker, another item that I had a really hard time finding here! :) I’ve read so many great things about this marker and I couldn’t wait to try it. You know I’m such a fan of adding a little bit of gold to my projects, so I have to confess that I was really excited about this one too when I was able to finally find it. It’s definitely the best liquid gold marker that I have used so far, have you tried it already?
The Decocolor metallic gold marker adds another layer of chicness to these tags, now I wish I could have also found the other version of this marker with a smaller tip, to fill in the smaller details of some of the flowers.
cardstock paper | distress ink | laserjet printer | foam stamp
scissors | Decocolor gold marker | crinkle ribbon | hole punch
I love how sweet and delicate my vintage junk journal overlapped tags turned out, with these lovely gold touches that work really well with all that blue! So I hope you will love them too and decide to give them a try, they are really easy to make!
