Make these stunning DIY French Script Paper Feathers for your home decor or gift wrapping, distress them with coffee and scent them with your favorite essential oils!
Hello friends, long time no seen!
I hope 2018 is already shaping into a great year for you, let's just do our best to turn it into an amazing and memorable year! Are you with me? :)
We could try and make it a more creative one, creativity is one of those things that we sure need more of, on a regular basis.
So let's just dive in into the first project of the year, today we are making some DIY French Script Paper Feathers!
I love finding unique ways of adding chic touches to our home and believe me when I say ... these DIY French Script Paper Feathers can be quite unique!
Besides the fact that each piece is hand cut and is given some special care (and some love), these beauties are also distressed with coffee and scented with essential oil! I told you they are special! :)
So even though this is a simple project, the final results will just wow you.
I'm teaming up with The Graphics Fairy again for this project and I'm sharing the full tutorial on her blog ♥ I'm super excited about our collaboration and I could definitely say it's like a dream come true.
I created the feather shapes using my iPad Pro, a cool toy (I gifted myself with) last year, my Apple Pencil and an amazing app called Procreate. It was my first time using all these for an actual project and I loved them all. I also used Photoshop and of course, a beautiful French script from The Graphics Fairy - a handwritten letter that I absolutely adore.
So make sure you head over to the Graphics Fairy to:
- download the free printable - it contains 11 different feathers
- check a complete step by step tutorial with images
- learn more about cutting and fraying the edges of the feathers to create a more realistic look
- learn more about distressing the feathers with coffee and scenting them with essential oils
- find other tips for creating the feathers and ideas on using them

I'm planning of making some changes on the blog too and include some (other) of my favorite things - more food recipes, more DIY beauty projects, more ... other things. So I hope you'll stick around for ...more :)
Don't forget to smile,
Diana
