DIY Vintage Christmas Book Page Rosettes … with a little bit of glitter! Learn how to easily make beautiful accordion style paper rosettes using book pages and some lovely Christmas ephemera medallions. We will be adding some sparkle too, this time using a little bit of glitter!
Hello, friends! Time to share another Christmas project with you today! As a sequel to my last paper project, if you wish, I decided to make these beautiful DIY Vintage Christmas Book Page Rosettes. They are easy to make and will really make a difference when it comes to decorating your home for Christmas this year!
I will be sharing the whole tutorial as my last DIY project on the Graphics Fairy this year, I will be including the link down below.
Please, please, pleaseeee don’t be intimidated by ALL the instructions or by the large amount of pictures that I took for this project and try squeezing it on your list this year! The project itself is quite easy to make, but as always, I just love thoroughly documenting the step by step process, so you basically have no excuse … but to try my projects! :)
DIY Vintage Christmas Book Page Rosettes
I really loved making this project! I know I tend to say that to a lot of my projects, but in fact, when you do what you love, the current project that you are working on is definitely your favorite! At least for the moment! :)
But what’s not to love here, right? :)
I’ll show you how to easily fold the pages, how to glue 2 pages together to have a more fuller final rosette, how to make different decorations on the edges and what to consider when making the paper medallions and applying the glue to where the glitter will adhere.
And speaking of applying the glue, I have recently discovered this cool tool for applying fine details – it’s a squeeze bottle applicator that comes with different types of tips (mine has 0.6 mm). You can use it with glue (I use it with Mod Podge), liquid paint or anything else you need to create some really fine details on your art projects. This little bottle is pretty amazing, have you tried it on your projects before?

a few pages from a book, dictionary, etc. (old or new) | cardstock paper | ink or laserjet printer (I have this laserjet printer) | scissors | sewing thread | stick glue | Mod Podge | glitter (I used gold glitter) | brush | sponge brush or a brush | glue applicator or a small brush
The rosettes look simply amazing with my DIY Folded Book Christmas Tree with gold foil star project that I shared last time, don’t you think? :)
Give my DIY Vintage Christmas Book Page Rosettes project a go before Christmas, it could be a great opportunity to make something creative with your loved ones, I’m sure everyone will love them, no matter the ages! Especially with all the glitter involved! ;)

Hi Linda, thank you so much for your lovely comment, so happy you like my projects!
You have such an eye for details! :) The blue-ish tint that you see on my medallions is something that sometimes occurs when printing on my laserjet printer without selecting the ‘print in black and white’option! I think it might have something to do with mixing the colored cartridges to get the color black for printing (instead of using the black cartridge directly). Hope this makes sense ;)
Not sure if this happens to other laserjet printers or is it just mine! :)
P.S. Sorry for the late reply.
