Try this anti inflammatory Golden Milk Turmeric Latte today (from Turmeric Paste), with a generous layer of froth (that you will be tempted to eat by the spoon), a comforting magic elixir with healing properties and an amazing taste
Serves: 1
Turmeric Paste
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1 extra large tablespoon coconut oil
Golden Milk Turmeric Latte
  • 1/2 - 1 teaspoon of Turmeric Golden paste
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • sweetener - to taste
  • ginger - optional
Turmeric Paste
  1. Add the water and turmeric in a small saucepan and bring over a medium heat.
  2. Stir continuously for 6-8 minutes until a thick paste forms. If you feel like the paste is too thick or dry, add a little bit more water, if it's too watery add a little bit more turmeric powder.
  3. Add the black pepper and the coconut oil and stir again until completely mixed in.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool, then add in a small jar with a lid and keep in the fridge - it will last for up to two weeks.
  5. You can add it to curries, smoothies, fried rice (recipe to come soon), warm soups, teas or golden milk turmeric lattes. Use it regularly, so you can benefit as much as possible from its amazing properties.
Golden Milk Turmeric Latte
  1. Bring 1 cup of milk to a light boil over medium heat and add 1/2 - 1 teaspoon of turmeric paste. Stir until fully incorporated and the milk is hot.
  2. Remove from heat and pour it in your blender (make sure your blender can handle high temperatures).
  3. Blend for up to a minute or until you see a generous layer of froth forming on top (a high speed blender will do that in 30-45 seconds or less).
  4. Pour in your favorite cup and enjoy this magic elixir while warm (or hot), on a regular basis.
The quantities mentioned for the Turmeric Paste yield about 5-8 uses. I like making smaller batches, but if you want to make more, you can double the quantities.
Be careful when using turmeric though, it stains like crazy! :)
