Spring is finally here and I just love the feeling of freshness is bringing into our lives at the beginning of each season. I feel more energetic surrounded by nature coming to life, with the sun that is actually warming everything up.

I don’t know about you but usually around this time of year, I feel the need to plant things :) In my last post I showed you how to make some DIY Aged French Terracotta Pots.

And this time …

You know all those empty cans that you’ll be saving for a while? Now it’s the perfect time to put them to good use and create something beautiful for your home!

Today we are doing a little bit of recycling and we are giving them a totally chic and amazing new life.

These DIY French Recycled Tin Cans are easy to make and will give you endless possibilities of using them.

Create stylish vignettes in your home by using several DIY French Recycled Tin Cans in different sizes – height and diameter are really important here to add dimension to the whole scene.

Use them separately in different rooms, they can be great for holding fresh flowers or planting herbs (yes, please!), but also for holding brushes, pencils … and anything that you can think of. I’m sure you will find several uses for these beauties!

Think some amazing gifts also, I just love the emotions a beautiful object created or decorated by you can bring!DIY French Recycled Tin Cans - free printable www.bydreamsfactory.com #diy #vintage #french #recycled #freeprintable

Let’s talk labels for a sec…
As always, The Graphics Fairy was my go to place for finding French beauties. I was looking for images that already had a vintage border and I used some of them exactly how they were. But I also created a few new ones, trying to match the whole ‘French labels with vintage frames’ concept that I had in mind.

The printable that I created includes 15 super chic labels and is available for free download on The Graphics Fairy, as part of our collaboration. Along with all the steps I followed to create these DIY French Recycled Tin Cans! With lots of step by step pictures and other things you have to consider when making these.

I love these! So beautiful and easy to do!

One question, what did you use to apply the labels? Regular Mod Podge?

It looks so good I thought is was a transfer until I read the details.

      Happy you like them, Nancy!
I only used Mod Podge to adhere the labels to the cans, no fancy transfers for these! :)
